Full Time Veterinary Surgeon- February 2024

We have an opening available for a full time permanent veterinary surgeon at our independently owned three branch small animal practice in Surrey. Accommodation is available if required. Hours over the week can be negotiable and discussed.

The role will be split between our 3 branches, and could also include some hours with our mobile veterinary team if desired.

We offer 15 minute appointments and are proud to offer our own OOH emergency service to our clients. While it is not essential that the applicant joins the OOH rota, it would be desirable to have someone who was happy to fit into the on call schedules.

Working hours are variable across the week and because we have quite a large team of vets, can be flexible to fit with the applicants needs to some degree. Admin time is factored into the rota so our vets usually leave on time as we believe in a good work life balance.

There are also Saturday clinics at some of the smaller branches so in addition there will be one Saturday 9am-4pm shift every 12 weeks .

We have 12 veterinary surgeons and 10 registered veterinary nurses and are a nurse training practice. We also have RCVS Tier 2 status and are working towards Tier 3 hospital status. Across our diverse veterinary team we have six certificate holders, and further qualifications and CPD are actively encouraged.

We are well equipped and work to a high standard of care, offering orthopaedics, laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasonography, acupuncture and laser therapy, as well as our own laboratory and behaviourist.

We are looking for the right candidate to join our friendly team – salary negotiable and commensurate with experience and hours worked over the week

Please contact Co-Director Amanda Wiltshire on amandaw@prioryvets.co.uk  or call 01737 242190. We would love to hear from you!

Registered Veterinary Nurse- January 2024

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our hard-working and fun team. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours a week. Our day shifts are only 7 hours, so an excellent work: life balance! Out of Hours and Weekends are on a rota basis, but work out as being 1 in 12.

Priory Vets has 3 branches in the Surrey area. Reigate, Tadworth and Redhill, with Reigate being the main hub and providing the Out of Hours service. We have four certificate holding vets doing advanced case management, and many of the nurses are doing clinical development courses to add to their skills. CPD is encouraged and paid for. We are a nurse training practice partnered with MYF at Aldershot. We work hard at fostering and maintaining a warm and friendly working atmosphere in our teams, so everyone can enjoy and gain satisfaction in their roles.

Our salaries are very competitive and vary according to experience, and also include a substantial OOH performance bonus, to compensate for those hours of sleep lost in the care of sick animals! We provide 28 days paid holiday including public holidays. Company sickness pay scheme, pension, etc.

If this position is of interest to you, please contact Chris Peters and attach a CV and covering letter and send it to chrisp@prioryvets.co.uk
